MEMORIA
IMMERSIVE GALLERY EXPERIENCE
COMPANY: PERSONAL
CLIENT: UW-WHITEWATER
The Memoria Film is an abstract blend of footage layered into chapters that take the viewer through a scattered story that embodies themes of fleeting time, vanishing and reappearing memories, nostalgia, with ties to mental health.
The idea for Memoria came from pure ambition. I had never done a gallery or exhibit before, but I saw an opportunity to do something that hadn't been done in this space before.
I was there to push it to the limit.
The main wall was home to the 17 minute film that was end-to-end projected. The wall next to it held Dematerialize. This is the interactive section of the exhibit where you can view yourself in particle form resemblant of the particles you see in the film. The back wall held 10 large scale glass art prints from the series.
